Team Experiences at Collingwood Children’s Farm

Why bring your team to the Farm?

Support your teams with an unforgettable team building day at Melbourne’s most loved Community Farm, just 4kms from the CBD!

Booking your next Team Experience at the not-for-profit Collingwood Children’s Farm is a wonderful way to increase your organisation’s social impact whilst bolstering your reputation within the community, building cohesive teams and developing staff skills. With so many adjusting to the return to the office after an extended period of remote work, there’s simply no better way to reconnect.

Bringing your team for a day at Collingwood Children’s Farm makes an enormous difference to the community and benefits each participant on a personal level. Our unique, hands-on experiences provide opportunities to grow social connections, develop confidence and new skills and build professional networks, all while earning the deep satisfaction of hands-on community work.

And, of course, it’s fun!!

With four decades of experience and a dedicated team highly skilled staff, you can be confident that your teams will leave the Farm energized, motivated and fulfilled and that the impact of your booking will be profound.

Your Day

Team Experience days with CCF are invaluable; you are uniquely placed to tackle large jobs that could otherwise take the Farm weeks or months to complete.

Farm work is physical, outdoors and often dirty. You might be unloading a delivery of hay, helping set up for a fundraising event or getting stuck into the gardens. The list of jobs is endless, but we do have the ability to tailor work to suit all abilities, so no one is left out.

9.15 am – Arrival at the Farm.

9.30 am – Welcome and Acknowledge Country. Tour and history of the Farm and OHS briefing.

10.30 am – Light Refreshment Break.

11.00 am – Hands-on activities that may include – planting, harvesting, moving hay, setting up for fundraising events or a range other activities.

1.00 pm – Lunch (catered options available or BYO for a picnic in the paddock).

2.00 pm – Optional workshops and activities are available!

Catered lunch:

Sit back and relax with a hearty picnic lunch at our beautiful market garden table or for larger groups, in idyllic pastureland. We’re pleased to offer individual picnic boxes full of freshly made treats including sandwiches, wedges of frittata, salad of the day, vegetable crudités, fresh fruit, chocolate brownies and farm cookies.

Optional Add-On Activities:

Please choose a maximum of two add-on activities

Potting up a seed or two

In this workshop you will learn about cultivating your own veggie and herb garden and we’ll start you off with a germination kit with a few different herbs and veggies and teach you the best ways to get them to grow into plants you can tend at home and provide food for your table.

Trug workshops

In this hands on workshop, you’ll be working with our onsite woodwork team using power tools to build your own garden trug. Using sustainable timber we’ll teach you how to assemble and stain your trug to take home with you.

Guinea pig cuddles

You and the team get a private cuddle with some of our super friendly guinea pigs – you’re never too old for guinea pigs!
