3x 1-hour sessions

Ideal for 3 classes – max 90 people, including adults

Available Monday – Thursday| Duration 4hrs, 10am – 2pm

Three classes rotate through three 1-hour sessions, consisting of:

  • Farm tour
  • Garden workshop
  • Self-guided farm experience

This is a jam-packed day, full of learning opportunities!  You must arrive by 10am for a strict 10.15am start. Late arrival may result in a shortening of activities or students missing out on certain activities.

Your classes will be split into three groups, rotating between a farm tour, a hands-on workshop and a self-guided experience with each rotation lasting 60 minutes and a total session time of about 4 hours.

Your tour will be facilitated by a Collingwood Children’s Farm staff member and will relate to your chosen education theme.

Your garden workshop will be facilitated by a Collingwood Children’s Farm staff member and will relate to your chosen education theme.  This may include potting up seedlings to take back to school. Workshops may vary seasonally.

Resources provided for your self-guided activity will relate to your chosen education theme and will support a wider exploration of the farm.

Upon booking, you will be sent a document containing important logistical information and a teacher resource to support further learning back at school.

Prior to your visit, it is essential that all teachers read this document to understand expectations around supervision while on the farm. A discussion around behaviour expectations with students and the importance of interacting with the animals calmly and safely makes for a better experience for all involved!

Collingwood Children’s Farm is a non-profit community organisation.

Your excursion fee keeps our Education Program financially sustainable and helps us to care for our animals, conserve these heritage farmlands and fund inclusive farm programs that support people in the community experiencing adversity.

Thank you for your support!
