School Tours
Collingwood Children’s Farm is a not-for-profit, inner-city farm that provides green space for students and community members to grow their understanding of and connection to animals and nature. We offer School Tours to learners of all ages which are informative, engaging, interactive and are linked to the Victorian Curriculum.
Bring your class down for a day spent surrounded by friendly farm animals, productive gardens and beautiful bushland along the Birrarung river.
What to Expect
Our School Tours offer students of all ages an immersive, hands-on experience at the farm, guided by one of our knowledgeable Farmers. Every day on the Farm is unique, providing endless educational opportunities. Students will get up close with our friendly farm animals, explore what’s growing seasonally, and discover how we care for the living things on this land. They’ll also learn about the important role farms play in producing the goods we rely on every day.
Our School Tours are linked to the Victorian Curriculum Foundation - Level 2 but are fun and informative for any age group.

Every day on the Farm is different, and our tours change based on the seasons and the needs of our animals.
Students often get to meet and pat our guinea pigs, goats and/or sheep and typically get to see pigs, cows, horses, chickens, ducks, goats, cats and peacocks. We usually visit one of our food growing spaces such as the market garden.
Along the way your farmers will facilitate safe interactions with animals, give information about the animals and plants we care for and answer all of your questions about the Farm.
