Corporate Volunteering

Support your teams with an unforgettable team-building morning or afternoon at Melbourne’s most loved community farm, just 5 kilometres from the CBD!

Booking your next Corporate Volunteering experience at our not-for-profit community farm is a wonderful way to increase your organisation’s social impact while bolstering your reputation within the community, building cohesive teams and developing staff skills. With so many teams adjusting to returning to the office after an extended period of remote work, there’s no better way to reconnect than getting offline and outdoors.

Bringing your team for a day at the Farm makes an enormous difference to the community and benefits each participant on a personal level. Our unique, hands-on experiences provide teams with opportunities to grow social connections, develop confidence and new skills and build professional networks, all while earning the deep satisfaction of hands-on community work.

And, of course, it’s fun!

Your Day

Corporate Volunteering experiences at the Farm are invaluable; you are uniquely placed to tackle large jobs that could otherwise take the Farm weeks or months to complete.

Farm work is physical, outdoors and often dirty. You might be unloading a delivery of hay, helping set up for a fundraising event or getting stuck into the gardens. The list of jobs is endless, but we do have the ability to tailor work to suit all abilities, so no one is left out.

Depending on whether your team prefers a morning or afternoon booking, you can expect the following:

  • 9:20 am or 1:20 pm: arrival at the Farm

  • 9:30 am or 1:30 pm: Farm welcome, Acknowledgement of Country, Occupational Health and Safety briefing.

  • 9:40 am or 1:40 pm: Dive into a simple task to get the blood pumping. Sweep the boardwalk, tidy the Cafe area or similar.

  • 10:00 am or 2:00 pm: Light refreshment break, tour and history of the site, ESG discussion.

  • 10:30 am or 2:30 pm:  Muck in and get your hands dirty! Volunteering activities might include moving hay, spreading mulch, maintenance of pasture paddocks, setting up for fundraising events, or any number of other activities.

  • 12:30 pm or  4:30 pm: Down tools, wash hands and a big thanks for your invaluable help!

Lunch can be purchased from the Farm Café or BYO lunch for a picnic in the Stables Paddock before or after your session.

You’re also very welcome to visit the Farm (unguided) during the free part of your day; simply let our Visitor Experience team at Reception know you’ve joined us for a Corporate Volunteering booking if you plan to return to the grounds after leaving on the day.
